Varje söndagkväll försöker jag se till att ha en stund för mig själv, där jag förbereder mig för veckan som kommer. Jag gör fint hemma, tänder massor av ljus, lyssnar på bra musik, förbereder arbetsveckan genom att titta igenom vad som behöver göras och när, samt sist men inte minst – tar en timme till att göra mig själv fin. Jag gör manikyr, pedikyr, ansiktsmask och tvättar och fönar håret ordentligt. Det gör måndag morgon så mycket lättare. Igår ville jag pigga upp mig själv lite och körde på Essies “Navigate Her”, ett sommarlack som fungerar lika bra året runt. Every Sunday night I try to make sure to have a moment to myself, where I’m preparing for the coming week. I clean the apartment, light candles, listen to greta music, prepare for a new work week by planning what to do when and last but not least – I take at least one hour for some pampering. I do a manicure, pedicure, face masks and blow dry my hair to perfection. This hour might sound shallow, but it’s very relaxing at make sure that you don’t have to think about your looks for the rest of the work week. It also makes Monday morning so much more relaxing.  Yesterday, I needed to cheer myself up a bit and painted all nails with Essie’s ‘Navigate Her “, a summer shade that works well all year round.

Ett av de enklaste och finaste sätten att göra en vardagsfrisyr är att använda sig av ett siden- eller sammetsband, som man knyter runt en hög hästsvans eller bara fäster överhåret med. Antingen gör man det väldigt “uptown” och polerat med perfekta lockar och glansspray som på första bilden, eller så låter man håret vara lite vågigt, rufsigt och med struktur. Jag föredrar den sista bilden, eftersom kombinationen av det lite mer söta i bandet och strävheten i håret blir extra fint.

One of the easiest and most pretty ways to do a everyday hairstyle is to use a ribbon , preferably in velvet or silk, which you tie around a high ponytail, or just tie up a small part of your hair, like in the second picture. Either you do it very “uptown” and polished with perfect curls and shine spray, or let the hair be slightly wavy, tousled and with structure. I prefer the last picture, as the combination of the pretty element of the ribbon and the roughness of the hair makes it extra pretty.

Efter en kort julledighet är jag nu tillbaka på kontoret och så även här på bloggen. Som jag lovat er tidigare tänkte jag berätta om min nya position som jag börjar i mitten av februari. Jag har sen december 2011 jobbat som press- och informationsansvarig för Gant Sweden, som är ett dotterbolag till huvudbolaget Gant. Nu har jag blivit rekryterad till huvudkontoret, där jag ska jobba för och med Gants globala Creative Director Christopher Bastin (ja, det är den välklädda mannen på bilden). Min nya titel blir Creative Director Assistant, och mitt jobb kommer att gå ut på att fungera som en “högra hand” till Christopher, som är kreativt ansvarig för allt GANT gör globalt. Att få jobba mellan design och marknad på ett stort globalt modeföretag har alltid varit en dröm för mig, och jag är väldigt tacksam gentemot Gant och Christopher som gett mig den här möjligheten.

After a short but sweet winter break, I’m now back in the office and also here with you guys. As I promised you earlier, I will tell you about my new position as I’m starting in mid-February. I have since December 2011 been working as PR & Communication Coordinator at Gant Sweden, which is a subsidiary of the main company Gant. Now I have been recruited to the head office, where I will work for and with Gant’s global Creative Director Christopher Bastin (yes, it’s the well-dressed man in the picture). My new title is Creative Director Assistant, and my job will be to serve as a “right hand” to Christopher, who is responsible for everything creative GANT is doing, globally. I’m very grateful towards Gant and Christopher who has given me this chance to fulfill the dream I’ve always had of working between the design department and the marketing department of a great and global fashion company like Gant.

Några av er har frågat om bloggen blivit en renodlad skönhetsblogg, och svaret är nej, men skönhet kommer att vara minst 50% av bloggen framöver. Till det kommer det att bli lite mer mode och inblick i mitt liv och karriär (dock bara på avstånd då min nya position innebär att det jag jobbar med ligger långt fram i tiden och ofta är konfidentiellt)– men endast inblickar i mitt liv och jobb som har har just med mode och skönhet att göra. De här små förändringarna är för att bloggen ska ha en ännu tydligare inriktning och en ännu högre nivå – för er skull!  Saknar ni något eller undrar något är det som vanligt bara att kommentera. Hoppas att ni är med!

Some of you have asked if the blog has become a 100% beauty blog, and the answer is no, but beauty will be at least 50% of the blog’s content. In addition, it will be a little bit more fashion and some insight into my life and career (but only from a distance, as my new position includes a lot of confidential projects) – but only glimpses of my life and career that’s connected to fashion and beauty. These small changes are all for the aim to make sure the blog has a more clear focus and even higher level. If you are missing anything or have any questions, just post a comment.
